FIFA World Cup qualifiers for the 2026 edition have almost concluded. We finally have the list of countries that have qualified for the coveted tournament. As the qualifiers are in their last phase, here are countries that have qualified for FIFA World Cup 26.
Japan was the first team to qualify for the World Cup from Asia, while they are nations including Italy that are still awaiting their fate.

With FIFA World Cup set to begin in USA next year, they’ve received an automatic qualification along with Canada and Mexico. Here are the countries that have qualified till date:

The 6 remaining teams (not yet qualified) are the ones in the inter-confederation playoff tournament. Russia are still suspended by FIFA and cannot participate in the World Cup. There are still sixteen teams in Europe that are going to battle for four FIFA World Cup spots.

FIFA World Cup’s 23rd edition will easily be the biggest yet, and will feature 48 nations from six confederations. With 104 matches played, it will be an increase on the 64 games that were played in Qatar in 2022, which was won by Argentina. There will also be a playoff round in March 2026 to determine the remaining teams that will play the FIFA world cup.
The tickets for FIFA World Cup 2026 have been priced really high, and the concerns have rightly been raised by supporters. The draw for FIFA World Cup 2026 will be conducted on 5th December, 2025, with the teams divided into 12 groups. The group stage will be played between 11th to 27th June, while the Final will happen on 19th July. The final will be held at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
