Two extremely aggressive and attacking sides locked thorns as Uruguay came out on top of the battle. An early goal from Edinson Cavani sent Uruguay forward, but Colombia were a big nuisance for the Uruguayan defence.

Luis Suarez converted from the penalty spot in the second half and Darwin Nunez sealed the match with a 73rd minute worldie for Uruguay. Yesterday’s football match results took Uruguay to the number 4 spot with 6 points while Colombia are now at the number 7th spot.

Chile earned their first victory in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Peru. Inter Milan midfielder Arturo Vidal came in with a strong performance, scoring 2 goals to give Chile the victory. The teams had a quite an equal clash with Peru threatening Chile in the goal too.

Peru had majority possession in the game but fell down against the mighty Chile. Chile now sit on the 6th spot in the CONMEBOL table and will next face Venezuela on Wednesday.
