Wolves will be looking to avoid consecutive Premier League defeats when they welcome an in-form Southampton team to Molineux on Monday night.

Wolves are notorious for being difficult to break down, especially at home, but their three losses already this season show they can be vulnerable. Southampton are on their best run under Ralph Hasenhuttl and we can see the visitors causing an upset under the Monday night lights at Molineux.

Southampton had a difficult start to the season as they lost 3 games in all competitions but now things have turned for Hassenhutl’s side as they have won five and drawn one game in the League. They are in the top four, also they had a short stint when they went to the top of the Premier League table.

New signing Rayan Ait-Nouri withdrew from France under-21 duty with an adductor injury and is being assessed by Wolves’ medical team.

Midfielder Leander Dendoncker was replaced at half-time in Belgium’s friendly with Switzerland last week and he played no part in the Nations League win over England on Sunday. According to Belgian news outlet Het Nieuwsblad, Dendoncker was suffering with knee and groin pain during the match against Switzerland.

Hassenhutl will be without in form Danny Ings who got injured in the 4-3 victory over Aston Villa. Saint’s Medical Staff said reported a knee injury and was to be out for 4 to 6 weeks.

James Ward-Prose and Ryan Bertrand will be playing this weekend after they were trained earlier this week in the Saint’s camp. Bertrand missed Southampton’s last match with Newcastle United due to a hamstring injury but the international break has allowed him to return to fitness.

While Ward-Prowse was forced to withdraw from Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad with a hamstring problem of his own. He also looks set to be fit to face Wolves though.
