Wolverhampton Wanderers will hope to return to winning ways against a strong Everton side in what should be an exciting game of Premier League football. Alley Sport is here with Wolves predicted lineup vs Everton. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have had it difficult in the league since their dramatic 2-1 victory over Chelsea at the Molineux. Wolves will try to get all 3 points in this fixture against Carlo Ancelotti’s Toffees who are off the back of a 1-0 defeat to West Ham.

Wolves vs Everton, Match Preview

Wolves will come into this match after a thrilling 3-3 draw against Brighton at the AmEx Stadium last week. Irish wonder-kid Aaron Connolly opened the scoring for the home side, before Romain Saiss headed home the equalizer for Wolves. This marked Saiss’ third Premier League goal this season making him the joint-second best goal-scorer for Wolves in the league, from central defence. Daniel Burn suffered the ignominy of scoring an own goal that gave Espirito Santo’s men the lead. Ruben Neves later converted a penalty in the 44th minute in what seemed to be the winner for Wolves.

The Midlands club bottled their 2-goal lead in the second half, when Neal Maupay scored from the spot a minute into the second half, before Lewis Dunk scored the equalizer for the home team. Wolves boss Espirito Santo will be disappointed with his side’s efforts and would expect a better showing against Everton.

The Toffees, under Ancelotti are 7th in the league table, but they suffered a disheartening 1-0 defeat to West Ham United at home in their last league fixture. West Ham’s Tomas Soucek scored in the 86th minute to win all 3 points for David Moyes’ men. With as many as 4 teams tied at 29 points, Everton will not want to drop any points that they might regret at the end of the season

Wolves vs Everton, Latest Team News

Wolves will be playing Crystal Palace at home in the FA Cup 3rd round before the Everton fixture. The Toffees will also play Rotherham United in the cup, before travelling to the Midlands.

Espirito Santo will be without left-backs Jonny and Marcal, who are out with injuries. Forward Daniel Podence is an injury doubt, along with defender Leander Dendoncker. Center-back Willy Boly is also ruled out after having picked up a knock. Striker Raul Jimenez was reportedly back to light training after he had fractured his skull previously.

Ancelotti will have to choose an Everton squad without the likes of new signing Allan, French left-back Lucas Digne, midfielders Jean-Phillipe Gbamin and Fabian Delph. Forward Alex Iwobi is also an injury doubt for the clash at the Molineux.

Wolves vs Everton, Score Prediction

We expect this to be tight game with little to separate the two sides. Ancelotti’s Everton squad looks to have the better team on paper, but Espirito Santo’s Wolves are a well-drilled unit in defence and can sit back for hours without conceding. Expect a 1-1 draw which sees both sides share the spoils at Molineux.
