The former Liverpool star’s World Cup aspirations appeared to be dashed when he hobbled out in the 20th minute of Bayern Munich’s 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen, on November 9, 2022.
Sadio Mane will not travel to bottom-dwelling Schalke on Saturday due to a right fibula injury, Bayern Munich informed after the game. Senegalese top executive Fatma Samoura said that because of the concern that the injury had generated, her nation was prepared to take extreme measures, including consulting witch doctors, to help recover their talisman.
On November 21, Senegal faces off against the Netherlands in the opening match of their World Cup campaign. Then, they play Qatar, the host country, and Ecuador.
Will Sadio Mane play against Netherlands?
Senegal manager Aliou Cisse has included the star-man Sadio Mane in his 26-man squad for the Qatar World Cup. Reportedly, as things stand Sadio Mane will not be starting the Game against Netherlands.
But the Senegalese Manager has told the fans to be rest assured, as Sadio Mane will feature in the rest of the games against Ecuador and the Hosts Qatar.
