Who is Cody Gakpo?
Gakpo, a Netherlands international with four caps, was born in Eindhoven on May 7, 1999. After rising through PSV’s youth systems, the 22-year-old has spent his professional career with the club, making his first team debut on September 26, 2018.
The Dutchman has been a regular for PSV Eindhoven since being promoted to their first team in the 2018-19 season, making 116 appearances for the club, scoring 31 goals and assisting his teammates on 39 occasions.

Pep Guardiola is known for avoiding dipping his toes into the transfer market during the winter window, with Aymeric Laporte being his most recent arrival in 2018. Klopp, on the other hand, loves to spend as little money as possible on a player and will aim to bring this guy in for as little as feasible.
“The clubs that want something are also known to me, I’ve had conversations about that with my agent,” he said, while stressing it “looks like” he will extend his current deal in Eindhoven.
“Very interesting clubs have been added, but we have to look at what the first step is. At the moment my focus is not there and I had better things to do on Sunday.”
With interest from City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich, all of whom are rated among Europe’s finest, it would be difficult for the 22-year-old to turn down a bid from one of those clubs.
