Who are the new managers in Premier League?- The casualties and replacements

WATFORD

Watford became the first club to sack their manager this season when they quickly parted ways with Xisco Munoz on October 3, 2021. Shortly after, Claudio Ranieri, a former Premier League winner with Leicester City, has been appointed to rescue a sinking ship headed straight for the Championship next season.

NEWCASTLE UNITED

After a £300m takeover, Saudi Arabian owners of Newcastle were tipped to sack Steve Bruce before he even led the Newcastle team out against Tottenham. They let him manage that game, but fired him instantly after that on October 20. Eddie Howe, former manager of Bournemouth, has now taken over the helm at St. James’ Park.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Spurs announced that they were parting ways with Nuno Espirito Santo instantly after their 3-0 loss against Manchester United. The Portuguese manager was only appointed this summer but it was clear that he was not the man to lead the club into the direction of trophies. Antonio Conte, a serial winner, is now their manager.

NORWICH CITY

Daniel Farke has also been sacked after his Canaries side won no matches in their first 10 league games. A win came in the 11th league game, but it was too late to save the German’s job. Currently, they are without a permanent manager with Dean Smith and even Frank Lampard as two candidates.

ASTON VILLA

The Villans also parted ways with Dean Smith on 7th November, just one day after Farke was sacked. The Englishman brought them up from the Championship but after Jack Grealish’s transfer, it was clear that the gaffer was left without ideas. Steven Gerrard, a legend as a player with Liverpool and as a manager with Rangers, is now in-charge of things at Aston Villa.
