Which teams have qualified for Premier League from Championship this season? Preview
Burnley, Watford, and Norwich City were the Premier League teams that were relegated from the top division last season. Each team has fared significantly differently in its desire to return quickly to the top division. While Norwich is vying for a playoff berth and Watford is falling behind in the middle of the league, Burnley has already announced that they will return to the Premier League for the upcoming campaign.
It will soon be confirmed that Burnley won the Championship and was therefore promoted to the Premier League. Their “magic number” (the sum of the points earned by Burnley and dropped by Sheffield United) is 11 with seven games left. With a sizable advantage over the competition, Sheffield United is advancing quickly towards the second automatic promotion slot.
Burnley has returned to the top tier just one year after being demoted from the Premier League. On Friday, April 7, they defeated Middlesbrough 2-1 to earn automatic promotion. With seven games left in the Championship season, Belgian manager Vincent Kompany has led his team to a promotion spot that is secured.
It’s a fantastic feat for the team considering that they were demoted to the second tier on the last day of the previous campaign, only 10 months previously. After a major summer reorganisation that saw club mainstays James Tarkowski and Nick Pope leave, Burnley’s ascent back to the Premier League followed. Kompany was able to juggle 16 new additional signings while completing the revamp.
On April 7, Burnley announced their promotion to the Premier League. Sheffield United, who now lead the playoff contenders by a wide margin, may be right behind them. The remaining teams are a huge jumbled bunch of solid but not great teams that are vying for postseason success.
The teams with the highest chances of making the playoffs at this time are Middlesbrough, Luton Town, and Millwall, with Norwich City and West Brom close behind. Below given are the odds of getting promoted to the Premier League:-
Sheffield United – 1/50

Middlesbrough – 7/5
Millwall – 9/2
Blackburn – 12/1
Norwich City – 7/1
Preston North End – 72/1
