Currently, the favourites to win the UEFA Champions League this season are Real Madrid and Manchester City. Real Madrid easily dismantled an out-of-form Chelsea team at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in the First Leg of the Quater Finals.
Madrid go into the second leg with a two-goal advantage thanks to the goals scored by Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio. On the other hand, Manchester City goes into the second leg against Bayern Munich with a three-goal advantage, courtesy of the goals from Erling Haaland, Rodri and Bernardo Silva.
In the game, Bayern Munich looked like the second-best team and made a lot of mistakes costing them the game. However, if Real Madrid and Manchester City qualify for the Semi-Finals, they will meet face against each other.
Whoever wins this Semi-Final match, it is safe to say they could win the Champions League Trophy.
Currently, Saturday, June 10, 2023, has been set aside for the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, to host the UEFA Champions League final.
The stadium will play home to the Champions League final for the second time; the first time was in 2005 when Liverpool stunned AC Milan by coming back from 3-0 down. After a 3-3 deadlock, the Reds ultimately triumphed on penalties.
Wembley Stadium in London, England was previously supposed to host the 2023 championship game, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused a change in the host cities. The 2021 Champions League final was first scheduled to take place at Ataturk Olympic Stadium, but due to COVID-19 concerns in Turkey, the match was switched to Porto’s Estadio do Dragao two weeks prior to the event.
