When was the last time Spurs won a trophy?- Tottenham’s drought continues
Tottenham Hotspur have made a name for themselves as one of the top clubs in England. Ever since the days of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, the Lilywhites have quietly risen to become one of the Premier League’s big six teams. But in this recent resurgence, there is one thing missing- trophies.
Despite the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho taking charge of things, they could not break their trophy duck. So, when was the last time Tottenham won silverware? We help you find out!
When was the last time Spurs won a trophy?
Spurs last won a trophy in 2008, which was the League Cup. Since then, they haven’t won a single piece of silverware. The 2007/08 Carling Cup season was a good one for Spurs and they went all the way to lift the trophy under Juande Ramos. The final was another highly-hyped London derby for Spurs.

After putting Arsenal to bed 6-2 on aggregate in the two-legged semi-final, Ramos’ men faced an in-form Chelsea side led by Avram Grant. They had also made the UEFA Champions League final that same season. As it turned out, final specialist Didier Drogba scored with just 39 minutes on the clock.
When was the last time Tottenham won a trophy and cant they do it again?
The club’s resilience showed. Two goals in the last 20 minutes of the game, including a Jonathan Woodgate winner in the 94th minute courtesy of a Petr Cech ‘error’ gave Spurs an invaluable win. That same resilience and fight has since been missing, almost 13 and a half years from that day.
It’s not like Tottenham haven’t had chances during that time. Their most famous title race turned out to be in the 2015/16 season when Leicester City won the league, while they also made the 2019 UEFA Champions League final, only to lose to Liverpool. With Antonio Conte now at the helm, things are looking up, and maybe, a trophy follows soon.
