Scottish Premiership is still in action while other top leagues get affected by the international break, as Alley Sport brings “When is the Next Match of Scottish Football?”
FIFA recently announced an unusual January international break, which saw various top leagues like the EPL, La Liga and Serie A begin from the week commencing 5th February. The decision was made in order to make roam for the postponed matches for the World Cup qualifiers for non-UEFA nations, as the pandemic resulted in various postponements. However, the Scottish league would continue as normal and fixtures continue as scheduled.

The next round of Scottish Premiership would start from the week commencing Friday, 29th of January. It is going to be an interesting week of Scottish football, as 3rd placed Hearts take on 4th placed Motherwell, being the highlight clash of the game week. Leaders Rangers take on struggling Ross County, while title challengers Celtic face Dundee United. It would also be interesting to see Hibernian take on Livingston, as both sides need a real turnaround for this season.
Scottish Premiership 2021/22
Scotland’s elite league has shown some fascinating football this season, with a 2 horse race between the biggest clubs of Scotland- Rangers and Celtic. After 21 game weeks, Rangers currently top the table with 52 points, while Celtic stand with 48 points. Hearts have performed well too, currently in the 3rd place, winning 4 out of their last 5 games.
