Arsenal Football Club are one of the globally renowned clubs, with huge following across continents. They now have come up with a new gesture of wearing a white kit, in their FA Cup 3rd round encounter against Nottingham.

The Gunners are known for their iconic red colour, which they will strip for an all white kit in the FA Cup as a part of their “No More Red” campaign. Around 10,000 crimes reported in the 12 months across the capital leading up to June last year involved a knife. Teen knife crimes have increased in London, as well all over the UK, with confirmed 30 knife killings in 2021- hence Arsenal have decided to remove the red, and focus on the peaceful elements of the society.

The match worn shirts by the Arsenal outfield players will be gifted to communities fighting for a similar cause. The all white kits would not be available for purchase and commercial uses, but gifted to individuals who are contributing positively to the society. Former Arsenal player Ian Wright says “Together we can make a difference” as we stand by non-violence and peace- with sports being a platform for global reach.
