A South American showdown is in the offing, how is the Uruguay Predicted lineup going to influence this fixture?

Uruguay Predicted Lineup vs Brazil

The team welcomes back defender Jose Maria Gimenez who will be paired with veteran Diego Godin while the new Man United signing Edinson Cavani will feature up front too most likely along with Luiz Suarez as his strike partner. The defence wil be completed by Cacares and Vina. Other probables include Bentacur, Torreira, Nandez, De la Cruz and Rodriguez. That sums up the Uruguay predicted lineup.

Head To Head Results

Over their last 5 meetings, Uruguay have not managed a single victory and have conceded 13 goals in the process. Neymar and Paulinho both love scoring against their South American neighbours.

Uruguay put up a shambolic display against Ecuador in the last round while defending with 4 goals conceded and the 2 goals scored by Suarez came via penalties and none in open play. We can expect much of the same against Brazil who will try to strike hard and fast with their free flowing football despite the absence of an injured Neymar.

Uruguay vs. Brazil this time around doesn’t seem all that much of a contest as it was before. Early stages of the competition mean that not a lot of points separate these teams even though Brazil is sitting pretty on top, Uruguay look unlikely to pose a threat. With a dismal defence performance in the last round and a lack of consistency up front, Uruguay will not see too many chances unless Brazil majorly screw up. Uruguay will try to keep it tight in the back but their reluctance to go forward is going to cost them dearly.

Our Prediction: Brazil 3 – Uruguay 0.
