Switzerland have impressed as they reach their second Round of 16 stage in their 5th ever appearance at the Euros, after qualifying as the 3rd best team of Group A, comprising of teams like Italy, Wales and Turkey. The Swiss failed to beat the Italians, but secured a draw against Wales, and beat a tricky Turkey side to qualify from the group with 4 points, while France notoriously topped the Group of Death in their campaign. Switzerland have never managed to beat France in a competitive game, and are hopeful to create a major upset when they take them on in the coming days.

France are the favorites to win the tournament, and after their performances against some great teams in the group stage, Switzerland look to be an easier task. France are expected to overcome this Switzerland side with ease, with the Swiss having scraped past the group stage and the French more than motivated after their consecutive draws against Portugal and Hungary. Switzerland knocking France out of the competition would be the upset of the tournament, but unlikely to happen.
