Southampton vs Brentford Preview and Livestream

Southampton are doing terrible this season. Long reputed as a club with exciting talent that hovers around the European spots or at least the top half of the table, they are now seemingly in a relegation dogfight. No one would have envisaged this before the season began, even after they lost their star striker, Danny Ings, to Aston Villa in the summer transfer window. It’s the opposite of Brentford.

Since coming in, the Londoners have had an array of impressive results, most strikingly against Liverpool in a 3-3 draw. They are around the top half of the table and a win here could see them really make themselves safe from relegation. The last time these two teams faced in a league fixture, it was the third division back in the 2010/11 season. It’s impressive to see how far they have come since then.

Southampton vs Brentford Prediction

The Saints are clearly suffering from injury issues while the Londoners come into this game in decent form overall this season. They have the firepower in the likes of Ivan Toney to test Southampton’s resolve and we believe Thomas Frank’s side has what it takes to get a 2-0 win away from home against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men, a result that will surely increase relegation headaches for the Saints fans.
