Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 Might Just Be Limited To The Test Series

According to sources, Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 might just be limited to the Test Series. He hasn’t traveled with the Indian contingent to Australia and is likely to join them in December before the Test Series. Sourav Ganguly recently raised concerns on Rohit Sharma’s fitness, and said he was not 100% ready for the tour. Sourav Ganguly Raises Concerns Over Rohit Sharma’s Fitness, Says He Is Not 100% Ready

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly made an update on Rohit Sharma’s fitness and said that he was only 70% fit and not 100% fit yet. It means that he played the final of IPL 2020 without regaining full fitness but went on to score 68 in the game. Rohit Sharma’s fitness has been a concern for the Indian team for a while now and needs to be addressed soon.

While the Indian cricket team is already in Australia for the tour, Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 may not be anything more than just the test series.

Who has the Highest individual score in ODI?

Rohit Sharma recently featured for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League shortly after the Indian squad that will tour Australia was announced. While it was earlier said that Rohit Sharma is unfit for the Australian tour, he was seen training in the nets. Rohit Sharma then played the IPL Playoffs for Mumbai Indians, and went onto win them the 5th IPL Trophy.

Cricket experts questioned the whole scenario and asked BCCI is Rohit Sharma was injured for real or was he dropped. This doubt came from the fact that Rohit Sharma looked absolutely normal and fit to play.

Rohit picked up his hamstring injury in the middle of the tournament while playing against Kings XI Punjab IN Indian Premier League and had to sit out for 4 games. He returned to the XI for the last league game and wasn’t fully fit yet as per the latest BCCI updates. He wasn’t picked for the Australian tour during the announcement but was later added to the team. This is why fans have also questioned if Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 might just be limited to the test series.

Ganguly also explained about the presence of Indian physio Dr. Nitin Patel in Dubai for IPL and monitoring of the injuries of the players intensely, including the point if Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 could be a possibility at all. Hence, his latest hint regarding Rohit Sharma’s fitness and him being only 70% fit means that Rohit will just have to play the Test Series in December, and he might not feature in the ODI and T20 International series.

Virender Sehwag also expressed his frustration recently over Rohit Sharma’s omission from the squad.

If Rohit Sharma can play the IPL, he should be there in Team India”, said Sehwag. Hence, this is all building to more people raising questions. If Rohit Sharma was just 70% fit, was it the fault of the Mumbai Indians management to keep playing him?

“I don’t think that it is possible that Ravi Shastri did not know about Rohit Sharma’s situation. Even if he is not a part of the selection committee, the selectors must have spoken to him a day or two days ago regarding what is he thinking, and taken his feedback and inputs,” Sehwag told Cricbuzz.

“I am surprised to see that a player who is ready to play for the franchise has not been selected to play for the country. This is surprising and mismanagement from the BCCI. They should have taken all the information that if he can play for his IPL team, then he should be kept in the Indian team,” Sehwag added.

It will be worth watching in the coming days if Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 is ON and if he’ll play the ODI and T20I series, which looks highly unlikely at this point. Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 might just be limited to the Test Series as per the latest reports and rumours as he has been sent to the NCA in India. It is all upto the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Sourav Ganguly to decide if Rohit Sharma Australia Tour 2020 will just be restricted to the Test Series, or he can play one of the limit over series or not.
