Premier League fans are given a breather as the League halts for international break and fans have a lot to talk about as the Premier league table saw some changes.

On Friday Southampton beat Newcastle United 2-0 as they had Maximum points of 8 games they were at the top of the Premier league, yes for one night. If they win the league or not that is a totally different question but they won the internet with some Twitter banter referencing to the Trump vs Biden US Presidential Election. Now who would’ve thought that PL would see Southampton FC at the top of the League but we guess in 2020 nothing Surprises us anymore.
Premier League standings 2020 Spurs and Leicester exchange Positions
Now as the day began Tottenham were top courtesy to a 1-0 win over West Brom which saw Spurs atop the Premier League table in 6 years. It was same for Mourinho as he saw himself at the top of the League
Since September 2017. “We are top of the table but other clubs have a match in hand, so let’s see what happens,” Mourinho said. They were at the top just for 33 minutes
Leicester who started the week at second with just a point behind Liverpool at the top, regained the top spot.
Leicester City were thrown out the the top 6 with Southampton winning, but a 1-0 over win over Wolves saw them on top with 18 points off 8 games and with a goal difference of 9.
This is the Foxes’ best start to a top-flight season a record which previously belonged to their 1930-31 campaign and their best in any season since 2008, when they were in League One.
And yes, that includes the 2015-16 season, when Claudio Ranieri’s history makers defied the odds to win the Premier League title.
Premier League standings 2020, Reds miss mark
Defending Champions Liverpool had the chance to become the fourth team to move at the top but their draw with city forced Liverpool to now sit at third position.
Liverpool and City were the only two sides who ended a day top of the Premier League in the whole of last season, yet so far this term we’ve already had five different teams end at least one day as leaders – Arsenal, Everton, Leicester, Liverpool and Southampton.
City now sit at tenth position with twelve points off seven games. Chelsea are now at fifth position with 15 points off 8 games. Arsenal’s loss puts them in 11th place with United’s win over Everton putting tem in 15 place yes that’s 2020.
