Premier League players going to AFCON 2022- The full list of PL players headed to African Cup of Nations
The African Cup of Nations is a continental trophy that takes place every two years and was supposed to take place in 2021. But it has been postponed twice- first due to the Covid-19 outbreak worldwide, and secondly due to Cameroon- the host nation- facing internal and infrastructural problems.
But as it turns out, it will take place from January 9 to February 6, and a lot of Premier League teams are all set to lose some of their most important players. Liverpool are obviously going to be the main sufferers of this and would be hoping the tournament somehow gets cancelled or postponed to the summer.
There are rumours of it being cancelled or postponed, but there has been nothing official on that front. Here, Alley Sport helps you take look at all the Premier League players going to AFCON 2022 and those who will be absent for their PL teams at the start of 2022.
