Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Juventus of Turin, broke this record in the month of January, after his strike against Napoli, broke Biscan’s record of 759 goals. Cristiano Ronaldo is also the record goal scorer for his previous club Real Madrid, for his national team Portugal, as well as of the UEFA Champions League. Pele was officially considered 2nd on the list with 757 goals, with now Cristiano proving to his critics that he is one of the greatest athletes to ever have existed.

The 35-year old Portuguese talisman had reached this wonderful tally in a whopping 1040 appearances, with his goal breakdown would include his 450 goals for Real Madrid, 118 for Manchester United, 102 for the Portugal national team, 85 goals and counting (as per the day when he broke the record) for Juventus and 5 goals for Sporting CP when he came up through the ranks as a youngster.

Cristiano Ronaldo is considered by many the best goal scorer in the history of football, with his trophy laden career including 5 UEFA Champions League winners medal, UEFA Euros 2016 winner and 5 time Balon D’or winner to list a few of his achievements. He currently plays in the Italian Serie A with Juventus, where he currently leads the goal scoring charts with 23 goals in the 2020/21 season.
