Miralem Pjanic to F.C Barcelona, a complete analysis

Miralem Pjanic is headed to Barca after a swap deal with Juventus for Arthur
Can you believe this happened? Barcelona swapping a 31 yr old midfielder with their 23 yr old sensation who they called Xavi’s successor. The deal is Juventus have paid 70 million euros for Arthur while Barcelona have paid 60 million euros for Miralem Pjanic.
Arthur has suffered the most in this deal. His dream was broken. While Pjanic and Juventus have benefited. Pjanic who is no doubt an excellent talent and suits very well for Barcelona is not a long term prospect. He has been playing not very outstanding football for Juventus from past two seasons. Also Pjanic favous the central defensive midfield role in which Barcelona already have competition for veteran Sergio Busquets and Frenkie De Jong.

Miralem Pjanic has quite excellent passing and extraordinary freekick skills. But in Barcelona we don’t think that he will be getting any freekicks because they already have the free kick king in Lionel Messi. Just like when Ronaldo joined Juve and Pjanic lost all his freekicks.
FC Barcelona sold Denis Suarez, loaned Rafinha and Cales Alena last season. Now they got Pjanic and sold Arthur. The midfield now only has many oldies. Arturo Vidal who is 33, Sergio Busquests who will be 32 this month and Ivan Rakitic 32.
Pjanic is quite happy with his move
In an interview he said
“First impressions are very positive. It took a long time. There was talk about the transfer years ago, there were contacts, and now it’s finally over.
“It wasn’t easy to leave a club like Juventus. It was hard for me, but well, if I had to leave, then it could only have been a club like Barcelona. That was my only option. It’s a big challenge and the crown of my career.
“I don’t feel pressure for any reason. The transfer happened because all four sides, two clubs and two players accepted it.
“I have the pressure like any other footballer who plays in such a big club. At Juventus you have to win every game, and so too at Barcelona.”
Miralem Pjanic will join F.C Barcelona after finishing off this season with Juventus. He will add a 4th Serie A title with Juventus.
