Man in India runs 100 metres in 9.55 seconds, faster than Usain Bolt! Twitter Reacts

A man from Karnataka has garnished attention for running! Since then, Twitter left awestruck when a man from Karnataka reportedly covered 142.5 metres in 13.62 seconds. In a traditional buffalo race, 28-year-old Srinivas Gowda broke a 30 year record. The man from India is termed to be the fastest the race has ever seen and now compared to Usain Bolt.

He being compared to Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt by some Twitteratis, is not shocking. Gowda gained attention when Anand Mahindra and other personalities tweeted about him. However, This record cannot be compared to Usain Bolt’s directly as he ran along a pair of buffaloes. However, the run not being on a planer surface, is a feat on its own! The Kambala race is organised occasionally in villages across Karnataka. Usain Bolt should acknowledge the man from India too!

Srinivasa Gowda creditted his buffaloes for the amazing feat. Gowda also expresses how unexpected this attention came to him. Twitter suggested that the man should be trained for Olympics. People also mentioned Indian Sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju on their tweets.

Kiren Rijiju responded positively to the news and tweeted that the Indian Sports Authority contacted Srinivas Gowda. The man from India is now compared to Usain Bolt.

Nice to see Kiren Rijiju acknowledging and helping him in his capacity. This amazing feat deserves all the attention it can get! It will be worth witnessing if Usain Bolt himself acknowledges this amazing feat. The Kambala race also gets attention from all places in India.

Proper coaching and guidance for such talents should be attempted. He can be trained for Olympics and other games. His calibre of running shorter races can be taken into good cause. It would be worth seeing if he can carry on this talent.
