Man City predicted lineup vs Olympiacos: Preview

Manchester City are unbeaten till now in group C with 3 wins out of three and scoring nine goals.

This will be City’s first away game against a Greek side since February 2011 when they played a 0-0 draw against Aris the Europa League under Roberto Mancini.

Manchester City will be looking to win first four matches of group stage in Champions league campaign for the second time under Pep having completed the feat earlier in 2017-18 campaign.

Excluding qualifiers Olympiacos haven’t won any of their last four home games against an English side in European competition. They will be looking for first such victory since February 2014 when they beat Manchester United 2-0 in the Champions League.

Man City predicted lineup vs Olympiacos: Team news

Pep Guardiola did not play Sergio Aguero last night which means he might get some minutes on Wednesday in the UCL.

Fernandinho is back after leg injury faced against Porto, but we think Pep will choose Rodri over him in the DCM position for now.

Benjamin Mendy is also back and he can use him to give some rest to Joao Cancelo who’s played the most number of minutes this season.

Man City predicted lineup may see Pep switching back to starting Ilkay Gundogan in place of Bernardo Silva who was rated average in the game against Tottenham. Silva played further forward as a result of Cancelo’s positioning but often tried one trick too many before playing the pass or taking the shot.

Ferran Torres will be looking to continue his scoring in the champions league and may get a nod ahead of Riyad Mahrez.
