With the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum’s to Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen his midfield options to compensate for the departure of a player who has been pivotal for the way Liverpool play in the past few seasons. Brighton have set an asking price on the Mali midfielder and want 40million for Bissouma, who has been strongly linked with Arsenal and Manchester United as well.
It has been reported that Liverpool have approached Brighton to enquire about his availability, however it can be confirmed that there has been no official bid as of now.
Liverpool transfer news roundup : Lucas Ocampos
Liverpool have also been rumored to be looking to sigh Lucas Ocampos as they look to bolster their attack before the new season starts. The Sevilla winger has been on the radar of the Merseyside team after the departure of Shaqiri and considering how many injuries Liverpool sustained last season, they may have learned from the experiences of last season and are building squad depth this time round. However whether they will go all in on the winger is something we will have to wait and see.

Liverpool transfer news roundup : Jeremy Doku
Liverpool are also interested in the Rennes forward Jeremy Doku who is a young and promising center forward and certainly fits the build of the type and profile of player Liverpool need to play as a rotational option and competition to the likes of Firmino, Salah and Mane, because if these players are unavailable, Origi has proved to be inefficient to fill the gap.
Rennes value Doku around 50m euros and it will be interesting to see whether the Reds are willing to invest the money they have accumulated by offloading of several players into the young Belgian striker.
