List of Brothers in Football & Preview

A professional football player has very little chance of becoming one. Brothers making it to the pinnacle of the sport of professional football is not unusual. It is a privilege to have a sibling who plays football, especially one who is older.

In addition to sharing all of his knowledge with you, he will also assist you in accomplishing your objectives. In the history of football, many brothers have travelled to compete on the biggest platform in the globe. Some of them have engaged in cooperative play, while others have engaged in competitive play.

Below is the List of Brothers in Football over the years:-

Kevin-Prince played for Ghana while Jerome represents Germany. At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Jerome’s Germany defeated 1–0 to Kevin Price’s Ghana, setting a World Cup record for the most games between brothers.

A dynamic player is Kevin Prince. He can play as an offensive midfielder who moves from box to box, a false-attacking midfielder, a winger, or a second striker. Jerome, on the other hand, can play either right back or centre back, depending on the situation.

Gary and Phil Neville

Fizzer (as no one calls him) is not as well known at Old Trafford as Gary, despite the fact that both men were part of United’s “Class of ’92.” After giving up a penalty for England versus Romania in the 2000 Euro, he isn’t particularly highly appreciated in general.

His brother joined him in Valencia as his assistant manager, but the pair only lasted a little over a year when they were fired after a dismal season, further damaging his reputation. Gary has stuck to being a pundit while Phil has stayed in management and is currently in charge of Inter Miami following his disappointing tenure with the England Lionesses.

These two are inevitably mentioned when discussing renowned football brothers. When it comes to competing on a global scale, it has been claimed that the English squad is recurrently underperformed. But it’s impossible to forget about their achievements in 1966.

The trophy-winning team that helped England win the FIFA World Cup in 1966 included these two brothers. As the first English player to receive the Ballon d’Or, Bobby is renowned throughout the football world. He had a role in Manchester United’s victory in the European Cup, which made them the first English team to do so.

With Leeds, Jack won the First Division crown as well as the FA Cup, League Cup, and Charity Shield. It’s wonderful that they both ended their playing careers in football on a high note, winning numerous trophies and, most significantly, the FIFA World Cup.

 Yaya and Kolo Touré

In addition to playing a key role in Arsenal’s “Invincibles” squad, Kolo moved on to play for Man City in 2011, where he and his brother won the Premier League championship. In 2014, Yaya became the first athlete to win African Player of the Year four times in a row.

Yaya would go on to win two more league championships with the Citizens, while Kolo spent one final season with Celtic before hanging up his boots in 2017. Yaya is a Tottenham academy coach, while Kolo is currently the manager of Wigan Athletic.

Ronald, the younger of the two, is the more well-known because he has played for a number of elite European clubs, including Barcelona and Ajax, and has consistently produced awe-inspiring results.
However, Erwin, the oldest brother, spent his whole footballing career in the Netherlands, playing for Groningen, Mechelen, and PSV.

The 1988 Netherlands team that won the UEFA European Championship included the two brothers. Erwin previously served as the national team manager of Oman, and Ronald has been in charge of the Netherlands since 2018. 1988 saw the Netherlands won the Euros and they played their parts in it. Their father, Martin Koeman, also played defence for the Dutch team but only in one game.

Eden and Thorgan Hazard

Eden’s younger brother was immediately snatched up by Chelsea as they learned of it. In actuality, Thorgan arrived at Stamford Bridge as a result of the agreement the Blues reached with Lille in order to sign Eden.

However, after Thorgan moved for Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2015, before moving on to Borussia Dortmund, where he began proving his worth, hopes that the west Londoners might one day feature both brothers are all but dashed.

Chelsea might not have succeeded in realising that ambition, but the Belgian national team did, with the brothers frequently playing side-by-side for the Red Devils. After Eden declared his departure from international football, though, that won’t be the case anymore.

One was born in Brazil, the other in Italy. However, they are both bloomin’ good at football.
Thiago, the older twin, joined Liverpool in 2013 after leaving Camp Nou to follow Pep Guardiola to Bayern Munich. He is now 29 years old. Additionally, he has vowed his allegiance to Spain, of whom he is a citizen, and has received 46 caps since 2011.

Rafinha, 29, left the Catalan club to sign with Paris Saint-Germain and is currently with Al-Arabi in Qatar. He has played for several of Spain’s young teams, but he has also previously played for Brazil’s Under-20s.
