Asian players have had such an impact on the English game, receiving status of cult heroes, with the likes of Park Ji-Sung and Heung-min Son achieving great reputation in totally different environment of football.

The signings of Takehiro Tomiyasu for Arsenal and Hwang Hee-chan for Wolverhampton showed the rising interest of English clubs in Asian talents. Park Ji-Sung has been one of the most popular players playing in the English game. Yossi Benayoun of Israel has been a popular name, playing for big clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal. Sun Jihai of China played for Manchester City till the takeover of the Arabs in 2008. Shinji Okazaki was a Premier League winner with Leicester City in the miraculous season, with also Yoshida of Southampton being a famous player, as well as Shinji Kagawa playing for Manchester United.
