It has been a few months since Benjamin Mendy’s heinous crimes came to light for all to see. The Manchester City star was accused of rape by several women and ever since the news hit the papers, he has been suspended by the Citizens.
Now, there is a new development in the case, and we are perhaps a bit closer in the quest to get justice against a criminal the likes of which we should lock away for an entire lifetime. Here is the latest on the court case of Benjamin Mendy and Louis Saha Matturie.
The latest on Benjamin Mendy and Louis Saha Matturie- Court charges defamed Manchester City star with 7th count of rape
Mendy appeared this week at the Chester Crown Court and that is when the press were allowed to report that he has been charged with another count of rape. The 27-year-old France international has been charged with multiple sex crimes and is on the path to being locked away for good.
The cases range from inappropriate touching to the act of sexual molestation and rape, and go as far back as 2020. He has been in custody since August 26th 2021, since he was accused of the crimes by the court. In total, the former AS Monaco left-back has been accused of 8 different sex crimes by five different women.
Who is Louis Saha Matturie? Is he related to former Manchester United footballer?
Absolutely not. It is sad to see many footballers such as Edouard Mendy, Ferland Mendy, and now Louis Saha’s name being confused with these actual criminals. Louis Saha Matturie is in no way related to the footballer that played for Manchester United and Everton.
He belongs to Eccles, Greater Manchester, and is being tried along with Mendy as he is also charged with several sex offences against younger girls. The names being similar hold no meaning. Louis Saha Matturie is 40 years old.
Hopefully, all the brave victims come forward and the courts do their bit in putting away these two criminals for good. It is also a shame on Man City’s part that they continue to employ Mendy, when he should have been released from his contract the moment the club got to know about the whole situation.
