Marseille’s young Frenchman Boubacar Kamara is one of the number of players Manchester United have been looking at in their search for a new midfielder this January transfer window. Newcastle United and Roma are also interested in the 22-year-old youngster, who is out of contract this summer and can sign a pre-contract agreement with a club not located in France according to his current agreement with Marseille.
United’s priority remains the summer transfer window but the club are open to doing business this month if a long-term target, majorly a midfielder, becomes available in these weeks. All of the Red Devils’ current options in midfield do not look like they suit Ralf Rangnick’s style of play which required high energy and intensity for the entire 90 minutes. As such, Kamara is an exciting target that United will reportedly look to sign in January if the right price can be negotiated.
United to swoop for Dortmund defender?
Manchester United have been linked with a move for yet another Borussia Dortmund player after recently signing Jadon Sancho and Henrikh Mkhitaryan from the German club. German outlet Fussball Transfers report the Red Devils have approached young French defender Dan-Axel Zagadou’s agent with a view to a potential move in the upcoming transfer window.
Zagadou, who joined Borussia Dortmund from French club Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, has entered the final six months of his deal with the Bundesliga outfit and is free to discuss a potential move away from Germany. Interim United manager Ralf Rangnick reportedly tried to sign the Frenchman for Leipzig in the past. The German coach is now keen to strengthen the Manchester Reds’ defense with the addition of the 22-year-old with discussions ongoing at the moment.

According to latest reports in the are determined to sign Ruben Neves this month. Wolves midfielder Neves, 24, has two years left on his current deal at Molineux – but has spoken of his desire to play in the Champions League. United have been mulling over a potential bid for the Portuguese international since the summer with ex-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a big fan.
Wolves, despite all interest, are believed to only be listening to offers upwards of £40m for their star man in the middle of the park – who has also drawn interest from Arsenal in the past. Neves is happy at Wolves, but is unlikely to sign an extension on his deal as he eyes the next stage in his development. As such, it is believed United could make an offer of around £35million to lure Neves away from the Midlands this month.
