Last night football results Scotland qualify dramatically in a Penalty shoot out.
Scotland qualified for their first major tournament since the 1998 World Cup.
Scotland played a goal less first half against Serbia in Belgrade and the deadlock was finally broken by Scott’s Ryan Christie who found the back of the net, Callum McGregor was the assist provider.
Steve Clarke’s side looked to be the winning side until the 90th minute when Luka Jovic draw level by scoring with his head off a corner which took the match to extra time.
Neither side was able to find goals in extra time.Serbia’s Aleksandar Mitrović missed the decisive penaly and Sebia lost 4-5 to Scotland.
Scotland will be joining England, Croatia and Czech Republic in Group D at Euro 2020 after they pulled off a massive result away at Serbia.
Last night football results, Pandev bravora carries Macedonia
Macedonia qualified for their first ever major tournament in history credits to the 37 year old war horse, Goran Pandev. He was part of the treble winning Inter Milan side in 2009-10 and is currently playing for Genoa.
Georgia who had lost just 1 game in 13 outings were knocked out of Euro 2020 by a Goran Pandev srtike in the second half.
Macedondia will join Netherlands, Ukraine and Austria in Group C at the tournament in 2021.
Last night football results Hungary comeback late to melt Icelandic hearts
Iceland’s Viking clap celebration won’t be heard at the Euro 2020. Iceland started strong with Gylfi Sigurðsson’s tame free kick effort found the back of the net as the ball brushed off the hands of Hungary’s goal keeper Péter Gulácsi.
Hungary pulled a goal in the 88th minute via Loïc Négo. The match looked to be heading into extra time but a 92nd minute winner from Dominik Szoboszlai and the comeback was completed.
Hungary will now join Portugal, France and Germany in the ‘Group of death’ Group F following a dramatic victory over Iceland in Budapest.
Last night football results Slovakia win it late in Belfast
Solvakia will join Spain, Sweden and Poland in Group E after they beat Northern Ireland 2-1 in extra time.
Slovakia got the lead in the 17th minute courtesy of Juraj Kucka when he burst off to put in a bad back pass from George Saville and wrapped his side foot across the ball to beat Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
The home side looked to be heading out until, in the 88th minute, an own goal from Milan Škriniar meant the match had to be decided in extra-time.
But in 110th minute Slovakia went back in front, courtesy of a goal from Michal Ďuriš, which saw them heading to the Euro 2020.
