La Liga title odds : The Title Race

As the new season begins, it is still too early to judge the teams according to their respective performances in the first 2 gameweeks. However one thing that Atletico had last season which the other teams lacked was consistency. They generally did not hammer down weaker opponents however they had the capability to churn out results against tough and stubborn opposition. With the defending champions having almost the same squad as last season, they will probably some very close to the same points tally they had last season.

Barcelona have no doubt taken a big blow by the departure of their talismanic star Lionel Messi, but Koeman and his men will certainly not shy away from going all out in the title race. It will be exciting to see how they manage and cultivate a blend of experience and promising young prospects in their current squad.

Real Madrid will be looking to reclaim their stop at the top of La Liga after they surrendered it to Atletico last season. With the departure of Varane as well as Ramos they will have to try and cope better in defense as compared to last season while trying to utilize newer players in the squad. A key factor in their season will be whether or not they can get Mbappe from PSG which will bolster their chances, especially after the return of Bale and an injury free Hazard already being some big names in the squad.

Sevilla will also be another team who will probably be in and around the top 3 teams in the country. They finished last season just 2 points behind Barcelona and will be looking to give tough competition even this season. With a very resolute defense, they have every chance to push the “Big 3” to the edge.

La Liga title odds : Winner Prediction

Here is our predicted winner of La Liga 2021/2022 season :

With the instability in terms of squad management as well as considering their financial situations, a safe guess would be to predict Atletico Madrid to retain their title this season as well. It would probably be a close fight between Atletico and Real Madrid, and it is very likely that the La Liga trophy will be heading to the Santiago Bernabeu next season.

However as far as this season is concerned, Atletico have a big opportunity to make the trophy their own as the other big names in the Spanish top flight may take another season or two to get to the levels where they aspire to be.
