Reports in Italy, according to Corriere dello Sport, have stated that Jorge Mendes offered Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester City. And the reports also mention Jorgen Mendes meeting Man City officials within this very week, which would be a dagger through the hearts of Manchester United fans.
Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo came out to criticize the people who use his name just to sell stories. In an Instagram post, he asked them to stop speculating about his future without knowing the truth about any situation. As of now, he is a Juventus player.
But throughout the summer, like each transfer window before this one, Ronaldo has been linked with a return to Manchester United- the club where he spent 6 wildly successful years before leaving in 2009 for Real Madrid in a record deal.

This is a tricky situation to address. Ronaldo is currently on a massive $64million-a-year contract at Juventus that runs out next summer. Now, the Serie A side risk losing him for free next year if he doesn’t renew his deal. He doesn’t look like doing it as of now and the decision to sell him right now could be the most financially wise decision the club can take.
He was Serie A’s top scorer last season and he is constantly amongst the goals. But one can ask why Juventus’ dominance ended despite his stellar numbers. They have always been a team rather than 10 players playing around one individual.
Losing Ronaldo wouldn’t affect their silverware chances if they replace him properly and if the rest of the players in the team can step up. City are also in dire need of a striker after losing Sergio Aguero and starting the inexperienced Ferran Torres against Spurs in a 1-0 loss. This move suits all parties and a move to City is a real possibility for him.
