Is Ronaldo leaving Al Nassr? Preview

It is a historic event for Middle Eastern football that Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to a lucrative deal with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, but it also means that one of Europe’s greatest players will no longer compete at the highest level of the game.

Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was cancelled, leaving him a free agent, as a result of an unpleasant TV interview in which he attacked the club’s ownership and coach Erik ten Hag after often being sidelined and sometimes even momentarily suspended by the squad.

Following all of this turmoil, Cristiano Ronaldo decided to sign a contract with Al Nassr that would keep him with the squad through the summer of 2025 as well as provide the 37-year-old with a substantial income in what could be his final football contract. Numerous media outlets have reported that Cristiano Ronaldo may be earning more than USD 200 million a year from his deal, making him the highest-paid football player in history.

Despite the player’s declaration that his career in Europe was “finished,” Cristiano Ronaldo would not complete his career at Al-Nassr, according to the management. Ronaldo had earlier stated that he wanted to continue competing in the Champions League, a goal he reaffirmed in his fiery interview with Piers Morgan.

However, he eventually signed with the Saudi Arabian team to take on new challenges. The five-time Ballon d’Or champion is currently under Rudi Garcia’s management, but Garcia predicts that he will return to Europe. He is among the finest golfers in the world, Garcia recently remarked.

He will depart for Europe and not complete his career at Al-Nassr. Before any team decided to recruit him, they would have to consider the reality that Ronaldo has now become 37 and is solidly in the latter stages of his career. The hero from Portugal is the holder of several individual Champions League records and has taken home the trophy five times, one more than his adversary Lionel Messi.

Despite wanting to keep those achievements, Ronaldo did declare at his introduction that his time in Europe was ended. But if Ronaldo wanted he could still return to Europe if any club wanted him. As of now, Ronaldo doesn’t have any plans to switch clubs.
