As with last week, we advise you to go with a 4-4-2 formation. There is a big lack of attackers in FPL and there are not many options to choose from, despite the addition of Ronaldo at a mammoth £12.5. It is always smart to include attacking full-backs and spend big on them, considering them as de facto midfielders in your FPL team. One of our major tips would be to avoid the hype surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo. He takes up the same chunk of price as potent hitman Harry Kane and isn’t even guaranteed to start against the Magpies. A safer bet in the strike department would be either Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Raul Jimenez of Wolves.
Bruno Fernandes and Mohamed Salah are the most discussed FPL stars. This gameweek, it is wise to hold on to both of them if they are in your team. The duo has an easy fixture this weekend and can score a couple of goals. Demarai Gray is also impressing and can be a smart differential early in the season.
