Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion will both have a Double Gameweek 25 after their previously postponed Premier League encounter was rescheduled for mid-February, as announced earlier this week.

United’s February schedule (see below) is particularly worth considering, as they play seven times in all competitions in February, with only about 80 hours between their two Double Gameweek 25 matches.

As a result, it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw some rotation in the full-back and wide positions, as well as Edinson Cavani (£8.4m) playing some minutes up front.

Transfer activity for the majority of FPL managers will now understandably be focused on Double Gameweek 25 assets, whilst owners of Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.5m) will be loath to move them on.

As a result, for some, the likes of Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£12.2m) may have to wait, despite some particularly appealing single Gameweek fixtures on offer.

Heung-min Son has returned to training after missing two Premier League matches due to a hamstring problem. This is further good news for FPL supporters. With more favourable Tottenham matchups on the horizon and plenty of double gameweeks to come, it could be a good opportunity to bring him back into the fold, with only 12% ownership.

On the other hand, two well-known figures may be on their way back. To begin, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has confirmed Tino Livramento’s return from a knee injury that has sidelined him since late December. Since his injury, the right-selection back’s in almost every manager’s team has dropped to just 10%, but he has recently returned, indicating that figure should soon rise again.
