FPL Gameweek 22 Tips and Tricks: AFCON Absentees, Good Picks, Ins and Outs, Wildcard Options, Latest Suggestions

The departure of several Premier League superstars for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon calls for big replacements and altercations to our fantasy lineups. To help you out through this tedious yet exciting task, we at Alley Sport bring you the FPL Gameweek 22 Tips and Tricks including the AFCON Absentees, Good Picks, Ins and Outs, Wildcard Options and Latest Suggestions to get that extra bit of edge in your FPL teams.
FPL Gameweek 22 Tips and Tricks: Full Lineup
The most important thing to note during this gameweek is the players who will be absent due to international duty in Africa. A few big-hitters include Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy, Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez. With all of their international teams likely to make it deep into the competition, we suggest you to bench, if not transfer them out as soon as possible and get in the replacements we will be discussing ahead.

AFCON aside, managers in Fantasy Premier League have a bumper Double Gameweek 22 to prepare for after four matches that were recently postponed have now been added to the upcoming Gameweek. Spurs, Chelsea, Leicester and Man Utd among those to play twice in next round of fixtures in FPL, so its best to get as many players from these teams in at the moment. If you choose not, attractive options with a single gameweek include Liverpool, who host Brentford and West Ham at home to Leeds.
Keeping all that in mind, we have come up with the best possible formation and players for you. Here is what we want you to go with for the week ahead.

FPL Gameweek 22 Tips and Tricks: Transfers
It is pretty obvious looking at all teams having double gameweeks to suggest getting their big-money players in as soon as possible as a replacement for AFCON absentees, atleast for this week. Also, Spurs do not face potential top-4 rivals until January end and are in great form, so now might be the time to invest in their squad, specifically Harry Kane who looks to be kicking on.
It is important to note that AFCON players will not be back anytime soon, so use your transfers wisely to get them out as fast as possible. Everton and Leicester have given us food for thought, for their best run of fixtures coincides with bad form at the moment, and hence we suggest you to wait a few weeks. Manchester United have comfortable fixtures too but they have been pretty unpredictable in recent weeks, so pick them at your own risk.
FPL Gameweek 22 Tips and Tricks: Chips
Gameweek 22 can be called a partial double gameweek and as such, it might be a safe bet in playing your Free Hit chip to rotate the pack just this time around. Even a Wildcard could work for the long term if you have many AFCON players and are sure about your replacements in that regard.

So for this particular GW, here at Alley Sport, we advice you to rotate using one of your Free-Hit or Wildcard chips. We also advise you to keep that extra boost with Bench Boost for later, to make the other gameweeks worthwhile. Make intelligent choices, and prosper. Happy hunting, fellow FPL managers!
