Carlo Ancelotti has been praised for his work at Everton and will be coming up against a team similar to his in the form of Leicester, and Alley Sport is here with Everton predicted lineup vs Leicester as the Toffees will host the Foxes at the Goodison Park later this week.
Everton vs Leicester, Match Preview
After losing 0-1 to West Ham earlier this month, Ancelotti and co have done well to win their last three games in all competitions. The Toffees have progressed to the next stages of the FA Cup after defeating Rotherham 2-1 and Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 at home, on either side of a trip to Molineux in the Premier League, where they defeated Wolves 2-1. One promising aspect of their recent victories is that Everton have had different goalscorers for all their last 4 wins.
The Toffees’ most recent game was a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup at home. Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin continued his fantastic season by opening the scoring for Everton by converting a cross from Andre Gomes. New signing James Rodriguez cross the ball into the area after a corner, and Brazilian forward Richarlison headed home to double his side’s lead. Rodriguez was again involved, this time crossing the ball into Yerry Mina, who jumped the highest to head home Everton’s third goal of the match.
Their strong performance, albeit against a Championship side, will give Everton a confidence boost as they take on Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester, who are also on a good run of form of late.
