The Power Surge rule has divided the six over powerplay into two halves with the first four bowled at the start of the innings and the next two over pair to be bowled after the 10th over of the innings. Only two fielders are allowed outside the 30 yard circle in the powerplay and the two over pair in the last 10 overs can be taken by the batting team at their required time to get their momentum back.

X factor Player rule had some mixed reviews coming in from international players as the teams will be allowed to substitute a player after the 10th over mark who hasn’t batted or bowled less than an over. The replacing player should be either the 12th or 13th man on the team sheets and this X factor player could change the game on its head.

Four Competition points have been divided into three points for the team winning the match and a point to the team who have more scored more runs at the 10th over mark. This rule named to be Bash Boost rule has been implemented to make both the teams stay in the game for the hunt and not to lose it at the start of the innings. The losing team could still grab a point which makes the table look tough enough. What do you think about the Big Bash League New Rules?
