A lot of changes has been made to the upcoming edition which makes it a very exciting tournament as teams have now been allowed to use three foreign players in the playing XI for the first time in BBL history. The T20 stars around the globe including the likes of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Nicholas Pooran, Dawid Malan, Johny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Alex Hales, have all been signed up for this edition to various teams.

Big bash league 2020 players list will see the big names making the squads with Mitchell Starc signing up in BBL after a long time for the Sydney Sixers. Sydney Sixers will be the defending champions this time around with overseas contingent of Tom Curran, Carlos Brathwaite and James Vince. They have brought in veteran all rounder Dan Christian from Melbourne Renegades.
The Melbourne Stars finished as the runner up in the last edition and have brought in big names like Pooran and Bairstow to boost their batting. They have released Peter Handscomb to Hurricanes and have got the tall Billy Stanlake from Adelaide Strikers. Perth Scorchers have roped in dashing openers Colin Munro and Jason Roy after finishing 6th in the last edition.
Melbourne Renegades after being the wooden spoon holders in the last edition have brought in world class spinner Imran Tahir with Nabi already in their side. Josh Lalor and James Pattinson have been transferred into the team to get their tournament back in track. Hobart hurricanes who went off the radar in the eliminator have got the services of Colin Ingram with Dawid Malan being their number one overseas batsman.
The Adelaide Strikers have the outstanding Rashid Khan in their set up and have added Danny Briggs as a useful option from England. Brisbane heat with Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Tom Banton from last year’s team as their overseas stars have boosted it with Lewis Gregory coming in. Sadly , they will be unlucky to miss out on AB DeVilliers who was part of their squad last year.
Alex Hales, Sam Billings and Adam Milne have signed up for the Sydney thunder this season and will be raring to go.
The players will be having a new assignment with regards to the three rule changes that have been made and it will be interesting to see if the players adjust to the new rules which will favor the batsman to a large extent.
