Even though neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona really impressed during the semifinal matches, both teams overcame formidable opposition to go to the Supercopa de Espana final and set up an El Clasico matchup in Saudi Arabia.

He made waves in that game for dismissing Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo for diving, to which the Portuguese striker responded by assaulting the official. His conduct resulted in a five-match suspension.
David Alaba and Aurelien Tchouameni, who were starters for Real Madrid, did not travel to Riyadh for the Spanish Supercopa. That may leave them lacking in defence for this game, especially because outstanding centre-back Eder Militao, who suffered a head injury during their semifinal, is now a serious question for this weekend’s championship game.
In contrast to their opponents, Barcelona has no fresh injury worries following their quarterfinal matchup with Real Betis. It is reasonable to anticipate that manager Xavi will field the same lineup.
