Leeds United vs Arsenal Match Preview and Team News
Arsenal head into the match sitting 11th in the table after losing 3 out of their last 5 Premier League games. The Gunners were at the receiving end of an Ollie Watkins’ masterclass in their last Premier League encounter when they lost 3-0 to Aston Villa. The Gunners have lost half of their 8 Premier League fixtures this season, and would be looking improve that statistic vs. a struggling Leeds.
Arsenal will be aiming for a top-4 finish this season, although that looks like a distant dream after a dreadful start to their season. More than the results, it’s the way that Arteta’s setup is being exploited which will worry the fans. The fans are willing to be patient with the Spaniard, but that may cost them this season.
Leeds United on the other hand have worries of their own. Despite playing a highly entertaining and attacking brand of football, Bielsa’s men lie 15th in the table with just 10 points after 8 games. Top scorer Patrick Bamford will be the man to watch as he looks to add to his tally of 7 goals this season.
Arsenal will be hoping to see star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang get back to scoring form. The Gabonese striker is yet to score from open play in the league this season. Gabriel Magalhaes is expected to start again for the Gunners after an impressive start to the season. The lineup will be more-or-less unchanged from the one which lost 3-0 to Aston Villa.
