Argentina predicted lineup and team news

Argentinian forward Sergio Aguero is still injured and won’t make it for the second round of qualifiers in as many months due to his injury. Also missing are Villareal’s Juan Foyth who suffered a muscle injury. Other misses include Pezzella of Fiorentina and Esteban Andrada of Boca Juniors who has a few fitness issues. Dybala also will be unavailable due to fitness concerns.

Argentina will field the same team as last time around, with Armani between the sticks, former City man Otamendi and Martinez will play as CBs with Tagliafico and Montiel on the sides. Parades, Acuna and De paul will make up the midfield trio while the front 3 will consist of Messi, Lautaro and OCampos.

Argentina having gained a reputation similar to England’s for being bottlers in the World Cup look to have an easy fixture against Paraguay but their previous head to head results suggest otherwise as you can see here. Way too many draws in this fixture and another one looks to be on the cards unless this man Lautaro has something to say about or Messi of course, both players will have their work cut out as this Paraguay side seems to be a stubborn side.

Most previous meetings have ended in draws and both teams seem to be on a loss less streak. Argentina further up on the table will look to win and climb to the top while Paraguay look to be happy with a draw.

Predicted score:
Argentina 1 – 1 Paraguay

The home team might’ve looked to win if they had the extra push of fans at home but due to COVID restrictions, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
