The 27 year old has made several key contributions to the Blues team in their Europa League as well as Champions League successes and made a total of 71 appearances.
He moves to Lyon following a contract extension with Chelsea until 2023 and will look to fight for his place in the Ligue 1 side and get regular first team football.
