Manchester City predicted lineup vs Crystal Palace: Match Preview

City are unbeaten in 14 matches, winning all of their last 7 games. The most recent was a 1-0 win at home against a struggling Brighton and Hove Albion. Belgian play-maker Kevin de Bruyne found Phil Foden with a pass. The 20-year old English prodigy beat two Brighton men, before showing great precision and accuracy by placing the ball in the bottom left corner, beating Palace keeper Sanchez just before half-time. City did win a late penalty, but a miss from substitute Raheem Sterling meant the scoreline remained 1-0 in City’s favour.

The result takes City to 3rd place in the league table, one point behind Liverpool although City still have a game in hand. Liverpool’s top-of-the-league clash with Man United which is a few hours before the Man City vs Crystal Palace match, makes it all the more important for Guardiola to take all 3 points from this fixture.

Palace will be facing a difficult trip to the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal, three days before they travel to Manchester. Roy Hodgson will want his men to put up a solid performance, following their disappointing FA Cup exit at the hands of Wolves. Palace fell to a late Adama Traore goal, with the Spaniard scoring with his left foot from the edge of the box.
